This Open Ideas competition was intended to provide a platform through design to generate renewed interest in Coney Island, a historically and culturally rich neighborhood seeking to become a significant urban destination. The main idea revolves around creating an AXIS around which the core functions of the pavilion are laid out to create a seamless flow through the Pavilion spaces. The Form of the Pavilion is Organic inspired from elements found in nature. The roof is used as an Icon resembling the ocean waves.
